Winter Wonderland

A good friend asked me to make a cake for her daughter's birthday, just before Christmas. She had this castle set, from Wilton, and thought it would be perfect.


This is a 2 tier, direct stacked cake. Red and green peppermints make up the border, with red and green M&M's starring as the trim around the windows, doors, and on the turrets. This was tons of fun to put together, and even more fun to see the kids faces.

Wreath of Holly

I created this cake with it's vining holly side border for a friend's workplace holiday party one year. I had never done holly before, but I had a lot of fun doing this simple little cake.
